エイミー・カワウチについて

Captivated by the performing arts from an early age, Amy has appeared in celebrated musicals such as "Annie," "The Sound of Music," and "Hello, Dolly!" both in Japan and abroad. In Japan, she has built a diverse portfolio as a vocalist, narrator, and lyricist-composer, contributing to high-profile events ranging from Imperial-attended ceremonies to professional sports anthems. As a Creative Director, her work spans concerts, performing arts productions, solo exhibitions, and apparel brands—including stage costume and dog wear lines. A published lyricist for educational choral works, she founded the "Japanese Children's Choir," a nonprofit dedicated to sharing Japanese music with children worldwide. Serving as Artistic Director, she oversees all creative elements, including book, lyrics, music, and choreography. She is currently developing a new musical based on the inspiring 1927 true story of friendship between Japanese and American children.

幼少の頃から舞台芸術に魅せられ、国内外で「アニー」「サウンドオブミュージック」「ジジ」「蜘蛛女のキス」「ハロー、ドリー!」等、有名ミュージカルに出演。日本では「全国植樹祭」などの皇室来賓イベントでのアトラクションで使う楽曲、プロバスケットボールチームの公式チームソング等、歌やナレーションで数々のレコーディングに参加。作詞家としては、(株)音楽之友社、(株)教育芸術社より小中学生のための合唱曲を出版。古き良き日本の曲を英語に訳し、新たな編曲を加えた上で、国内外にいる日本に縁のある子供達とパフォーマンスを行う活動を続け、現在はその活動を母体として設立された一般社団法人日本のこどもの合唱団の理事及び芸術監督を務める。同団体では、脚本・作詞（日英両語）・作曲・振付を一手に担う。アメリカでは、複数のオリジナルミュージカルを執筆。現在は、1927年の日米の子供達の美しい史実を元にした新しいミュージカルを執筆中。また、クリエイティヴディレクターとして舞台・個展のプロデュースやアパレルブランドのディレクション等も手掛けており、各種制作・ブランディング事業は「I & C Creative Arts」にて展開している。
